The School Health (SCH) program provides a background in the basic health sciences and pedagogy. This option prepares educators to plan, implement and evaluate health education in a variety of settings with an emphasis on teaching health in school settings.
Graduates have the ability to acquire K-12 teacher certification credentials enabling them to teach in public or private schools. This option certifies students to teach health only, although students are encouraged to become certified in a second teaching field through the use of core curriculum and support field electives.
